As Stage-Actor

I joined theatre through a workshop organised by Bahroop Arts Group in 2003 at Jawaharlal Nehru University, where I studied from 2003-2010 (finished studies with an MPhil in Theatre and Performance Studies from School of Arts and Aesthetics.). --- Between 2003-2007 I was an integral part of the Bahroop Arts Group performing in plays (often as lead) such as Aur Kitne Hiroshima, Yahan Se Shahar Ko Dekho,B-Three, Thank You Mr. Glad, Spartacus, 8/6, Life of Galileo and was directed by Suman Kumar, Ajay Manchanda, Ajay Kumar, Mohammad Kazim, HS Shivaprakash and others over time. FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/34809217307/ --- After 2007, I started working with other groups such as Seher, Wings Cultural Society etc. During this period I performed in plays like Sawlya (written by Chetan Dattar, Directed by Kiran Pawar), White Nights (Directed by Soumyabrata Choudhury) and others. It was during this period that I started collaborating with peers from National School of Drama, doing scenography, light design, costume design etc. and soon I realised that I was keen in 'performance-making' at large. --- In 2010, I moved to Berlin, Germany to pursue a PhD in Theaterwissenschaft. During this period I worked as an actor for English Theatre Berlin and later between 2012-2014 at Odin Teatret, Denmark first to train as a performer at Odin Week and performance-filmmaker and later to work as apprentice. --- End of 2015, I moved to Mumbai and joined SMART (Strategic Management in the Art of Theatre) as project co-ordinator and simultaneously founded my own group Qissa Kothi in 2016.
